Rowing Machine

Postby Zoot » Thu Mar 26, 2009 5:38 pm

Hi Folks,
Does anyone out there in Kef have a rowing machine that they no longer want. Maybe you've given up on the keepfit regime. Drop me a message if you want to part with one.

Congratulations Zoot.

All you need now is a boat to put it in? It seems a shame to use all that energy indoors when you could be out fishing and enjoying the ambience at sea..........?

There are two excellent rowing machines in Agia Efimia harbour.

One is called Jungle Cat and the other is called Pink Panther. (currently still under repair)

Loosely termed as "Catamarans" at least one of them floats at the moment! Neither have a working engine between them (That's none out of a possible 4 engines  :!: ) the sails are crap and need replacing, so a couple of oars is the only viable alternative really!

Suggest you go for Jungle Cat as Pink Panther repairs have now made one keel at least a foot longer than the other, and the twin rudders are no longer the same shape, so you could end up going in circles and getting nowhere fast!!!

Thanks TDC
I'll pop round to Aghia Efimia Harboour tomoroow and make enquiries about having the rowing machine fitted to Jungle Cat as at least I know that she floats. Failing that I'll suggest to Dave that it be fitted to his Yacht and then on quiet days he can do pedelo hire !!

I hear both Cats are now for sale! Jungle Cat is the better option, it floats! Try not to laugh when you see the fresh paint "crazy paving" cracked finish on the bottom of one keel.
